Home Sweet Home

I should have made the pics bigger, you can double click on them to see them bigger...you really should to see how pretty they are. Ok, I have no clue why I am typing in blue and underline...oh well!

The Provo River is a little less than a 1/4 mile walk from the house...just follow the railroad tracks. Wyatt thought this was a grand adventure!
Wyatt's first attempt at using our camera, had to thow this one in!
A nice view of the Provo River, you can see the train tressel over the water...just follow those tracks back to the house!
Aaah, home again! JR spent much of his youth down by this river. We love fly fishing on this water, so excited to get back to it!

Wyatt learning to drive... well sort of! He can steer the mower around the whole house and does a great job!
The most important lesson to learn when on the farm......remember to shut the gate! Wyatt loves to be in charge of locking the gates.
This is a great shot of the view from our home. Mt. Timpanogas in the distance, green fields, and horses to play with!
Wyatt thought the wheel lines were great fun to run through and wanted me to take this picture of him.
My boys.....I love them! JR is a great dad and the boys love him dearly. He loves to teach them about the outdoors, nature, animals, etc. The train tracks are home to the Heber Valley Railroad- or the Heber Creeper as it used to be known. It goes by our house several times a day with tourists waving. Its quite amusing, but its a love hate relationship for Kash= he waves to it if you are holding him, but bawls if he is standing by himself and it goes by! He'll get used to it, I'm sure.

We are so blessed to be able to return to the Heber Valley....it really is "home" for us. We are excited to get back to our old hobbies of fishing, camping, snowshoeing, etc. The boys are already loving the ability to run in wide open spaces and explore. Its amazing how little tv they have watched since we got here! I love it!

Well, here are the first pics of our new home area...I say that because there are no actual pics of the house, just the yard and surrounding views that we have. We are still knee deep in boxes and a mess of trying to find a place for everything, but we take time to just enjoy the scenic views we have.

Favorite Holiday!!!

Wyatt with Jaden, who lives next door. They are the same age.
Jaden's parents, Jenny and Al, really good neighbors
Ok, here's a story this little guy acted like he'd never been fed before! Everyone kept teasing us about it. When we'd say, "where's Kash?" people would reply, "he's with whoever has the bag of chips!" I couldn't believe it.... he grazed ALL night, and try as we might, short of restraining him, he would still sneak off and find more food! The real lure for him were the marshmellows from the s'mores...I bet he ate 10 of them! Here we caught him in the act. Unbelievable!
Before all the festivities of the day, we did manage to get some yard work done. The boys wanted to "help" JR, it was cute watching them hold on to the mower. It took a little longer than usual, but it was worth it!

Just a snapshot of some of the fireworks, i couldn't get any of the one that shoot way up in the air...

some tuckered out kids, watching the fireworks-Sophia Mecham lives across the street, Wyatt, Scott Hayes a friend from the ward, Bryson Knapp lives 2 doors down.
Wyatts pose for the day-couldn't get him to pose decent for a pic! he's with Georgia Mecham
Finally got Wyatt to try a sparkler, he was scared, and couldn't remember that last year he burnt a whole box of them and loved it!! Oh well!

Many of you know that the 4th of July is probably my favorite holiday other than Christmas.....I love the patriotism, the flags, red, white and blue, everywhere, BBQs, summer heat, and of course, the fireworks. Oh and I forget to mention the parades, water fights, and last but not least the music...... I love it all!

Our street has a party every year, and this is the 3rd one we have attended. We start in the late afternoon/evening, so that you can go watch parades, or picnic with your family for lunch. The kids have a GREAT time with all the other neighborhood kids, we roll out the BBQs, bring potluck dishes, and have water balloon fights, and illegal fireworks(do they ticket the spectators??? ha ha).

We also went to the small town of Melba, ID, just south of Nampa, to spend the afternoon-it is great small town entertainment, reminiscent of our old elementary school carnival. They have kids games like the bean bag toss, fishing game, pick a duck, etc. Wyatt loved it! We beat the heat with snow comes and even got to watch the kids "chase a chicken"- for $2.50 you too could let you child enter the ring to chase the chickens and lucky you...if he/she catches it, you get to keep it! Thanks goodness Kash was too young and Wyatt opted out of that event!

Wouldn't you know it, I had cute outfits for the kids, but of course the water was too tempting, so we ended up changing once, twice, oh yes, even three times! They started in their play clothes(#1) but got wet "accidentally" by splashing in the kiddie pool (2-swimming suits!), wanted to dry and put clothes on (3-cute outfits), got enticed to go down the inflatable water slide (cute outfits now wet!), had to put dry clothes on (#4). Good thing we just live 2 doors down from all the activity!

After previewing this, the pics are not in the order I wanted, I need a tutorial on how to do this blog thing!

Enjoy the pics!

Oh boy, the new found entertainment for the boys....my shoes! We don't understand the fascination with it, but it is a new thing in the last week to sneak into our closet, make the biggest mess possible and try on ALL the shoes. Kash is the ring leader of this new venture, Wyatt goes along with it. All the shoes will soon be packed up- hopefully long enough to cure them of this trend!
Here they are again, lovely shoes....JR is actually off camera in the tub, poor guy can't take a bath in privacy!
This is the Cummings' elaborate home theater.....the garage! Ever since we moved to Idaho, one of Wyatt's favorite places to hang out is the garage. Now Kash is old enough to join him. They love to have a "meal and a movie" as they eat lunch and watch Caillou or Zaboomafoo.....I know the moms of young kids know what those are!
Here's a view of the big screen, ha ha! This little tv has been around for years and found its way to the garage...it has a built in VCR, perfect for the Blue's Clue's movie or Train Adventures. I rig the kitchen door open with the dog leash....hey we make do with whatever we have and it works! I can be inside and hear whats going on in the garage. Keep in mind, the big garage door stays down, so they can't wander around the neighborhood. This theater and dining area has been GREAT for mommy! Aaagh, a sweet, quiet moment with the boys-we had to catch it on camera. Wyatt had a paint with water book that he nicely shared with Kash. This kept them both entertained for a little while. There was no yelling, complaining ,whining, or grabbing of each others' toys during this time. They talked (well, Wyatt talked, Kash pretended to listen!), laughed, and raced each other to see who could finish their picture first! Notice the blue sports bottles......a $.50 find at Walmart with the deal that mommy would get them, but they are for water ONLY! The boys think the bottles are cool, and mommy has now gotten them to drink more water......hurray for me!
No picture for this story, but have to share.....the boys' new outdoor entertainment is catching bugs.....even the ones that mommy and daddy have warned them bite and sting. Today, they attempted to catch bees (despite several warnings) WITH THEIR BARE HANDS! Amazingly, Wyatt caught one, and, no surprise, he got stung! You would have thought the house was on fire! He screamed and cried and carried on. Of course, I had to throw in the ol' "guess you won't be catching bees anymore" line and put a band aid on his finger. He simply added that he didn't know it would hurt him because the first two he caught didn't sting him!
