The First Stitches

Wyatt is the recipient of the first stitches needed between the boys, at age 6.  He was running down the hall and decided to jump over the sun shining on the floor.  However, when he jumped, he didn't navigate the slight jog in the wall and hit is head right where the two walls meet, on the corner.  THere was a huge 'thud' followed by a blood curdling scream.  I jumped up and ran to see what had happened.  Blood had started to pour out of it and he was panicking.  JR stepped in and after a minute, got it to stop bleeding, but the wound was laying open. Since you can't stick a band aid on hair, we knew that it needed stitches.  We took him to the E.R., where Dr. Tayler put in 5 blue stitches.  He said the blue stitches were just for the cool kids.  Wyatt was pretty scared, but brave.  We only managed one picture, but it is one to help us remember our first stitches experience!
