It was Lagoon day for JR's company, so we thought we'd try taking the boys. They did well! Wyatt was ready to try anything as long as it was a ride that he didn't have to go on by himself, which is understandable....how fun is it to ride something alone?? Kash isn't quite ready for the rides, but managed the ferris wheel, carousel, and train. He also got sunscreen in his eyes, which made for an unpleasant episode. I think people were ready to ask if I needed help, he was crying so badly! After taking him to the bathroom and flushing out his eyes (a great experience, in itself!) he was ready for more. We are proud of Wyatt...he is getting more daring and brave as he gets older, he is realizing it is fun to try new things! He also had a BLAST at our county fair, with another little friend(pictures will be coming, I hope!)...you couldn't pull them away from the rides! There was also the Kangaroo Zoo in Pleasant Grove....a place that is just inflatables...slides, obstacle courses, juumphouses. He used to avoid those completely and now loves them! Hopefully this new bravery will carry over into the swimming area.....he still hates water!
We ended this day by driving a little further north to see my mother inlaw and her husband. We enjoyed dinner at his family's reunion. They had picked choke cherries for us to make jelly. This was a new experience and quite comical, as we had NO clue what we were doing. We stayed up to midnight juicing the berries and continued the jelly making process the following day. We think it turned out o.k......I'll let you know!
Upcoming events to be watching for.....Hogle Zoo (tomorrow), camping (labor day weekend), and a yard sale(as soon as I finish going through boxes!)
